Temaxcal?

Temaxcal is a
prehispanic shower (bath) that was known between many cultures of
Mesoamerica, older vestiges of it you can find in many archaelogical
zones of Palenque and Piedras Negras in Guatemala, altought it's
origin could be older.

Nowdays most
people know it and build it with rods leaves, leather or blankets,
known as Toritos.

Trough the
history people have been using it as a terapeutic sistem and as a
ritual and ceremonial shower. Its name comes from Nahua and means
"The houge of Vapor" (Temaz=Vapor, Calli=House)

Of Temazcal.

to a temaxcal you can feel every quality of this shower. Relaxation
and experience that this produce introduce you to the introspection,
reflection until you don't know anythig about the time. It's a great
experience!! Mircea Eliade says about it: "Temazcal appears as
a circle time reversible and recuperative like a eternal mythic
present wich is integrate through rituals.
